Twinkle, twinkle, phoney story Everybody's going gloomy When you're looking through your mirror Sentimental days We'll share a broken glass chin-chin If you do whistle again We'll make it happen once again Drawning in bathrooms' bubbles Twinkle, twinkle, phoney story Everybody's going gloomy When you're looking through your mirror Sentimental days We'll share a broken glass chin-chin If you do whistle again We'll make it happen once again Drawning in bathrooms' bubbles Everybody Everybody Everybody is getting sentimental

Hey broody you What have you done? Swindle me out Of lonely nights Opening out Your curling mind Don't you shape up to me Under shiny twilights You do fumble with a weirdo You would love to twiddle your thumbs You follow your burning arrow You do burble keeping quiet Hey broody you What have you done? As you walked by Pink alley-ways Don't you shape up to me Under shiny twilights You do fumble with a weirdo You would love to twiddle your thumbs You follow your burning arrow You do burble keeping quiet

Ouuh nanana ouuh nanana D'you think you're my fine time designer? D'you think you're my tuesday fever? Will you trust in me When I say nothing When I look moody When I don't ring you back? Well, you see, I don't care If you treat me so badly I may just, just condemn your point of view Well, you see, I don't care If you say you don't like me I may just, just condemn your point of view You've been falling in love every morning And I think it's all about infatuation "¿Quedamos por la tarde?" You've been falling in love "No tengo mucho tiempo" Ouuh… ouuh… "¿Y si te llamo mañana?" That's infatuation "Bueno, llámame tú…" Ouuh… ouuh… You've been falling in love every morning And I think it's all about infatuation I suppose you really don't care Well, you see, I really don't care

Suburbs 04:44
I may never know what's my favourite colour I may never know why I do drink lemon juice I may never know why a golden gate looks wild I may never know why I smoke over my thoughts I may never know who's my favourite painter I may never know why I want so many shoes I may never know why some echo's lost in time I still can read good books And I've got thousand movies to watch too So please, do believe, you don't have to look very smart When you lie to me, when you lie to me I may never know what's my favourite colour (Ideas are all so invisible) I may never know why I do drink lemon juice (They do stride up and down my shady room) I may never know why a golden gate looks wild (Ideas are all so invisible) I may never know why I smoke over my thoughts (They'll be dancing with me) I may never know who's my favourite painter I may never know why I want so many shoes I may never know why some echo's lost in time

about

San Sebastián, summer of 1995. The ideal spot for a happy meeting: SPRING have come from Paris to play live, and they meet Javi Pez (reknown DJ, musician, remixer and shaker of the Spanish dance scene; soul of PARAFÜNK, DIGI ONZE and delicious label Novophonic, member of INSTRÜMENTAL and CAMPING GAZ). It was love at first sight: they danced together at the finest clubs in town, they swam in the northern beaches and walked by this precious city, chatting about music, sunny afternoons and lonely beaches in Southern France.

One year later, mutual liking has become friendship, and SPRING bring their own hospitality in Paris. But this time a common target has joined them, a singular project which fills them with illusion: to work together in a record which combines SPRING’s style and elegance with Pez’s sensuality and richness of arrangements.

The outcome isn’t but this “Out Of Time”, formed by six previously unreleased tracks, composed by halves (they are not remixes) among the Parisians and the Spanish. A pop record, at least as pop as “What’s Going On” can be. A record to which you can dance or sing along or, even better, do both, with songs which you can consider as pop as “Family Affair”, “The Girl From Ipanema” or “Summer Breeze” would be in an ideal world.

The marriage of their talents has created a sublime, cosmopolitan record, whose only flaw is its short length. “Chunk It Up!” has everything to be a massive hit, a glorious sample of danceable acid jazz, and with “Puerto Habana” you can feel the Caribbean breeze, the sensualism of samba and bossanova caressing your face. “Skool Bus” begins with a delicious strings and marimba loop, and the whole record breathes a relaxed, déjà vu atmosphere, soaked in easy listening (not lounge! this compositions need attentive listenings to catch all of their varied shades). “Suburbs”, finally, is an introspective closing for a definitely exuberant record.

“Out Of Time” was released in Europe by exquisite Bungalow label (home of COMBUSTIBLE EDISON, DOB... and a branch of City Slang), and in Japan by Tokuma Japan Communications; in both cases under the new title of “Spring and friends” and with the bonus tracks of the three songs in “Be My Star” CD-single plus the previously unreleased cover version of SHAMPOO’s “Blisters And Bruises”.
